Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re seeking a highly creative and resourceful designer who can hit the ground running. In this hybrid role, M-F (1 day per week onsite in America Free Zone in Heredia and 4 days of WFH), you’ll play a key part in scaling design efforts that are both visually compelling and strategically effective for internal and external audiences. You’ll collaborate closely with product, marketing, and the broader creative team to transform ideas into impactful visual experiences that drive business growth. The ideal candidate combines strong production design expertise with a tech-savvy mindset, enabling smooth, efficient workflows throughout the design process. This is a temporary 2-month contract (September-October) with the possibility of extension.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

• Create merchandising and marketing campaigns that elevate our client's brand across multiple online and offline channels.
• Work with internal clients to define standards for different work
• requests.
• Grow team knowledge of production best practices and stay abreast of
• the latest in technological solutions that enable better creative
• workflows.
• Understand design principles that help drive successful design.
• Communicate design rationale in a clear, respectful and open, fluent
• manner across all stakeholders.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and overlapping deadlines.
• Build trust, respect, and credibility with stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating online marketing, retail merchandising, and production design with superb blending and retouching image skills.
• Bachelor's degree in design or 3+ years of experience in online marketing, digital advertising & retail, or e-commerce design.
• Experience with design principles, typography, layout, and grid structures.
• High proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Strong understanding of the design process, specifically production design.
• Passion for design systems and knowledgeable about new technologies and processes within the field of design technology.
• English proficiency, written and read at least B2+.
