Production Scheduler

JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

The role of the Production Scheduler is to create a robust production schedule that shows customer demand that guides procurement needs and allows operations to efficiently produce the end products for Certified Power Solutions customers. 

Create production plans driven by Sales demand (external and internal). Schedule and release work orders in an ERP to execute plan. Provide insight to Operations, Sales, and SIOP when there are material and/or capacity concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Owns production scheduling process – includes creating, maintaining, and continually working to improve production scheduling formats and processes. 
• Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and SIOP to ensure we meet Customer expectations.
• Demand forecasting – creating and upholding FG stocking plans and forecasting labor needs to support sales forecasts.
• Material and scheduling alignment – working closely with Procurement on material requirements.
• Inventory management
• Tracking of schedule attainment – advising on capacity constraints and lead time concerns preemptively. 
• Provide insight into production rates and cross-training needs when demand requires.
• Ability to work with sister sites to support their lead times and sales demands.
• Ability to manage multiple reports showing demand in various work cells.

Requirements

• 3+ years in demand planning, forecasting or Sales and Operations related functions (work order creation).
• 3+ years in production scheduling within an ERP.
• Understanding of production rates, MRP, and how to monitor schedule adherence.
• Strong focus on detail and accuracy.
• Experience in delivering results across functions and geographies in a matrix environment.
• Experience working with multiple production sites that require intercompany transfers.
• Proven self-starter and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office Applications, including advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Project and Access.
