Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc.
As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and professional Retail Monument Sales Associate to join our Monument Division in Meridian, Idaho. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for families, guiding them through the process of selecting a lasting memorial.
Rather than creating technical drawings yourself, you will act as a vital consultant—helping families navigate our extensive design catalogs to find the perfect starting point, which you will then coordinate with our professional design team for final execution.
Guided Consultations: Meet with clients to discuss memorial options and materials with empathy, helping them navigate emotional decisions without feeling rushed.
Design Selection: Assist families in browsing our design books to identify styles, motifs, and layouts that resonate with their vision for a loved one’s tribute.
Design Team Liaison: Clearly document the family’s preferences and selected "starting point" from the catalog, providing detailed notes to our internal design team to ensure the final proofs reflect the client's wishes.
Sales & Project Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial inquiry and quoting to final contract signing and payment collection.
Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with local cemeteries in the Treasure Valley area to ensure all selected monument styles meet specific size, material, and installation requirements.
Meticulous Record Keeping: Ensure all names, dates, and inscriptions are transcribed accurately from the client to the design order to guarantee 100% accuracy in the final product.
Showroom Excellence: Maintain a professional and welcoming showroom environment, ensuring displays and design books are organized and accessible.
Work Hours: M-F 9 am - 5:30 pm, alternating Saturday rotation 9 am-1 pm.
Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years in retail sales, memorial sales, or a high-touch customer service environment (e.g., funeral services, counseling, or luxury retail).
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional active listening skills and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with grace and professionalism.
Organizational Prowess: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files and ensure clear communication between the client and the production team.
Attention to Detail: A rigorous commitment to accuracy regarding biographical data and technical specifications.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Meridian and the surrounding Treasure Valley community is preferred.
