Join Our Clinical Leadership Team
Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager to join our clinical leadership team. This position plays a key role in overseeing daily nursing operations, supporting staff development, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care.
The RN Nurse Manager will work closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leadership team to promote clinical excellence, staff accountability, resident safety, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality resident care.
Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
Assist with staffing, scheduling, assignments, and maintaining appropriate nursing coverage.
Monitor resident care to ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct rounds and follow up on changes in resident condition, incidents, and clinical concerns.
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
Monitor clinical documentation, medication administration, treatments, assessments, and resident outcomes.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Promote compliance with California Department of Public Health, CMS, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
Assist with survey preparation and corrective action plans.
Investigate incidents, complaints, and quality-of-care concerns and implement appropriate follow-up.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
Coordinate and participate in staff education, in-services, competencies, and ongoing training.
Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation, social services, dietary, activities, and other interdisciplinary departments.
Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care, concerns, and changes in condition.
Promote infection prevention and control practices throughout the nursing department.
Assist with maintaining a positive, professional, and accountable nursing culture.
Support the Director of Nursing with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care.
Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of clinical standards, nursing practices, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with quality assurance, care planning, incident reporting, and staff education preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Strong commitment to resident-centered care and staff development.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems preferred.
