What Practice Management contributes to Cardinal Health
The Practice Manager will over the daily operations of a multi-modality imaging center, overseeing staff performance, patient scheduling, financial outcomes, regulatory compliance, and physician relations while ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and achievement of organizational performance goals.
Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of the imaging center.
Ensure efficient patient scheduling and workflow.
Monitor facility performance, productivity, and patient volume.
Coordinate coverage for front office, technologists, and support staff.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise administrative staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
Manage employee schedules, timekeeping, and attendance.
Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
Financial Oversight
Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue performance.
Review billing processes and reimbursement trends.
Manage accounts receivable and insurance authorization workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Patient Experience
Ensure exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
Resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly.
Monitor patient wait times and service standards.
Implement patient-centered process improvements.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, ACR, and state regulations.
Maintain facility accreditation and licensing requirements.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures.
Monitor quality metrics and patient safety initiatives.
Physician and Referral Relations
Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians.
Support physician recruitment and retention efforts.
Coordinate communication between radiologists, providers, and staff.
Assist with marketing and business development activities.
Strategic Planning
Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify growth opportunities and service enhancements.
Lead projects related to technology, workflow, and process improvement.
Support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven experience in clinic or healthcare management, required
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field preferred.
Oncology experience, highly desired
