- Swing: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required according to operational needs.
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring a professional Concierge Security Officer to provide a combination of security awareness and high-level front-facing service in Denver.
This is an unarmed position for someone who can interact comfortably with the public while remaining attentive to activity, access, safety conditions, and potential security concerns. The officer will be expected to create a professional first impression, assist individuals with routine questions, and recognize when a situation requires security intervention or additional support.
Success in this role requires strong communication, sound judgment, reliability, and the ability to remain composed while handling both everyday requests and unexpected situations.
Core Responsibilities
Security & Property Checks
- Maintain a consistent, visible security presence throughout assigned areas.
- Perform scheduled foot patrols of interior and exterior areas.
- Operate a company vehicle for patrol duties when assigned.
- Inspect designated doors, gates, windows, emergency exits, elevators, and other secured areas.
- Identify unusual activity, unsafe conditions, access issues, or procedural violations.
- Communicate maintenance, safety, or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Take appropriate action when conditions require immediate attention.
Concierge & Customer Service
- Greet tenants, visitors, guests, employees, and other authorized individuals professionally.
- Act as an approachable point of contact while maintaining awareness of security responsibilities.
- Provide directions and general information regarding locations, amenities, operating hours, restrooms, and available resources.
- Assist with routine questions and concerns in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Support a welcoming environment without compromising established security procedures.
- Maintain a polished and professional demeanor during all interactions.
Access & Security Technology
- Monitor designated entrances and exits according to established procedures.
- Verify identification and manage visitor credentials when required.
- Observe CCTV cameras and assigned alarm and access control systems.
- Report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, equipment concerns, and other irregularities.
- Follow location-specific procedures for access management and security technology.
Incident Response
- Respond to disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and calls for assistance.
- Evaluate situations and take action appropriate to the circumstances and assigned responsibilities.
- Use professional communication and verbal de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Request assistance from supervisors, emergency personnel, or other authorized resources when necessary.
- Maintain composure and professionalism during challenging interactions.
Reports & Communication
- Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports.
- Document incidents, significant observations, calls for service, and unusual circumstances.
- Communicate relevant shift information to supervisors and authorized personnel.
- Use digital reporting and operational platforms, including TrackTik, when assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum 3 years of clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required for vehicle patrol responsibilities.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle when vehicle patrol is assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of customer service experience in a public-facing role.
- 1–2 years of professional security experience required.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
- Ability to complete company onboarding and required training.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Professional appearance and dependable workplace conduct.
- Ability to work independently while following post orders and company procedures.
- Ability to maintain regular communication with supervisors and leadership.
- Ability to consistently work assigned day, swing, or overnight shifts.
- Weekend and holiday availability when required by operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more additional years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a comparable field.
- Background in concierge, guest services, hospitality, customer service, or another public-facing role.
- Previous experience performing vehicle patrols.
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, access control, and electronic reporting systems.
- Experience with TrackTik or similar workforce/security platforms.
- Experience handling difficult interactions through professional communication and de-escalation.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the ability to perform essential functions that may include:
- Standing and walking for extended periods during a shift.
- Conducting routine indoor and outdoor patrols.
- Navigating stairways, hallways, emergency exits, and multiple levels.
- Moving promptly when responding to security or safety concerns.
- Lifting and carrying items weighing approximately 25 pounds when necessary.
- Maintaining adequate visual and auditory awareness of the surrounding environment.
- Performing assigned duties in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
