Buymie is an Armenian/Irish co-founded tech company that provides grocery delivery services across Ireland.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, manage, and optimize the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that drive our applications. You will also automate, monitor, and scale our infrastructure while promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based infrastructure such as
• Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms (Azure),
• Develop and optimize continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate code deployment and testing,
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high system availability and quickly resolve issues,
• Work closely with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of software and infrastructure projects, maintain a reliable and scalable infrastructure,
• Ensure compliance with data security policies and industry standards, such as GDPR and SOC2,
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell,
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and tools,
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, system availability, and security to ensure optimal functionality,
• Implement best practices for system and network security, including vulnerability assessments and compliance management, to improve efficiency.

Your profile

Requirements
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience,
• More than 3 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role,
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes),
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP),
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.),
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and technologies(Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.),
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana,ELK, Datadog, etc.),
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git),
• Competence in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, etc.),
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration,
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams,
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards,
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to have
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies,
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments,
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or similar.
