What Will You Do?
Responsible for developing and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) information for all products manufactured at the plant. Also responsible for maintaining the Material Master with the correct parameters to ensure the proper use of the SAP system.
The position requires coordination with various plant departments to ensure the correct creation and maintenance of views and parameters for all part numbers used in the facility. Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating product changes with different plant areas and ensuring that effective dates in SAP are accurate to support successful product implementation.
How Will You Do It?
Update revision and/or drawing information in SAP.
Release technical information on various servers and databases for new drawings or drawing revisions. Also responsible for removing obsolete versions and properly archiving them in designated obsolete folders.
Prepare and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) according to established procedures.
Create and maintain product structures (BOMs).
Create new material numbers in SAP based on ECNs provided by various Design Centers.
Modify and maintain existing Bills of Materials.
Generate Bills of Materials and part numbers for products by loading all associated components, including purchased parts, raw materials, manufactured parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and reference drawings into the SAP Material Master.
Coordinate product change meetings.
Coordinate and follow up on Engineering Changes.
Manage SAP effective dates once changes have completed implementation phases and effective dates have been defined by the involved departments.
Send notifications regarding Engineering Changes to users whenever action is required related to a product change.
Coordinate and follow up on deviations with the appropriate departments.
Generate weekly ECN reports for engineering follow-up.
Conduct weekly meetings with Engineers to ensure ECNs are closed according to established metrics.
Maintain and control active and inactive items within the system and ensure the obsolescence process is properly followed.
Conduct weekly audits of product parameters in SAP and maintain a 100% audit compliance rate. Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans when audit issues are identified.
Ensure the deviation process is understood and followed by all departments, as measured through established performance metrics.
Create and update Engineering procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards.
Serve as the Engineering representative on the committee responsible for addressing and coordinating discrepancies reported by Warehouse and Materials departments.
Participate in meetings with relevant departments to monitor and achieve product change target timelines.
Support the Planning and Finance departments by analyzing variances between production orders and customer orders related to new product changes and SAP effective date discrepancies.
What Do We Need?
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.
Strong report-writing skills and the ability to communicate detailed information clearly.
