Veterinary Medical Center | Central SupplyThe Veterinary Medical Center within the College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Sterile Supply Technician 2 to provide support to patient care units within the hospital(s). The Sterile Supply Technician assures a safe and accurate supply of operative instrumentation to health care team members. The position is responsible for the decontamination of surgical instruments, utensils, non-surgical items, and other surgical items. The individual will ensure quality assurance protocols are followed and aids in the requests from surgical teams and other various patient care departments in the hospital. Other duties will be assigned.
Hiring Range: $17.20- $21.50

EXPOSURE TO NEEDLE STICKS, HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS, AND/OR BIO-HAZARDOUS WASTE
Desired Experience:
Experience with central supply instrument processing; ability to identify common surgical instruments by name and function; knowledge of surgical instrument packaging and wrapping; ability to read/write simple sentences, basic math skills and ability to use PC for Outlook (mail), Excel and Word.
Veterinary background is a plus.
