Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Engagement and Communications, the Change Management Officer undertakes learner-focused change management, communication and engagement activities for the R3 Project. The position plays a key role in supporting the successful implementation of Thesis Student Management (Thesis SM) and the Thesis Student Portal by helping learners understand, prepare for, and adopt changes resulting from the replacement of ACSIS and GeneSIS.
The Change Management Officer supports learner readiness through communications planning, stakeholder engagement, learner consultation activities, change impact assessments, feedback collection and measurement activities. The position works closely with project leadership, Student Services, Faculties, Marketing, Corporate Communications, learner representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure communications and engagement activities are coordinated, accessible, and aligned with project objectives.
Specifically, the incumbent:
Plans and delivers learner engagement and communication campaigns for the Thesis Student Portal and Thesis SM implementation.
Develops learner-focused Change Management plans and readiness strategies.
Conducts stakeholder analysis and learner impact assessments.
Coordinates learner engagement activities and consultations.
Develops and maintains learner-facing communications resources and content.
Measures communication effectiveness, engagement levels and change readiness.
Supports project showcases, awareness campaigns, executive presentations and learner-facing events.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Organizational Change Management, Community Engagement, Communications, English, Marketing, Business Administration. Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
Change Management Certification is preferred (Prosci or equivalent)
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in post-secondary, with experience supporting enterprise transformation or technology implementation projects and strong understanding of student services and learner-facing processes.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in:
-Change management;
-Strategic communications;
-Stakeholder engagement;
-Public relations;
-Community outreach and engagement;
-Communications planning and execution;
-Working with websites, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, survey platforms and collaboration tools;-Facilitating presentations and stakeholder meetings.
