Reports To: Agriculture Admin
Job Summary:
The Data Clerk – Agriculture will be responsible for collecting, entering, updating, and maintaining accurate data relating to agricultural field operations. The role will support operational monitoring and reporting by ensuring field information is captured correctly and submitted on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and enter daily agricultural field data into approved spreadsheets, registers, or information systems.
- Capture information on field activities, labour, machinery utilization, inputs, acreage, and completed work.
- Verify submitted field information for completeness and accuracy before data entry.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records of agricultural operational data.
- Update daily, weekly, and monthly data trackers as required.
- Assist in preparing routine summaries and operational reports.
- Identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information and coordinate corrections with field personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and proper storage of agricultural records and data.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology, Records Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in data entry, records management, administration, or a similar role.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong data-entry skills with good accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic numerical and reporting skills.
- Ability to organize and maintain large volumes of operational records.
- Good communication, reliability, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Experience handling agricultural, field, production, or project data will be an added advantage.
