Industrial Automation Engineer – Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC
Hooksett, NH | $95,000–$125,000/year
If you’re an automation engineer who can take a control system from programming and integration all the way through commissioning and startup, this is an opportunity to work on complex industrial automation projects where your expertise actually drives the outcome.
The biggest opportunity here is the depth of Siemens work. You’ll work heavily with TIA Portal V20+ and WinCC, while also getting exposure to Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, industrial networks, HMIs, drives, sensors, instrumentation, and complete control-system integration.
You won’t be sitting on the sidelines writing code. You’ll be involved from understanding the customer’s requirements through programming, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup.

What you’ll do:
• Design and develop industrial automation and control systems
• Program, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems
• Develop and configure HMI applications
• Work extensively with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC
• Work with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms including RSLogix and RSView
• Integrate PLCs and HMIs with sensors, drives, actuators, and instrumentation
• Configure and troubleshoot Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, and other industrial networks
• Perform system testing, debugging, integration, and optimization
• Support installation, commissioning, and equipment startup
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, electrical, communication, and field-device issues
• Read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Work directly with customers and internal project teams
• Travel to customer facilities as required
What you’ll need:
• Professional experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, machine control, or process control
• Strong hands-on PLC programming experience
• Strong Siemens TIA Portal V20+ and WinCC experience
• Experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
• HMI development and configuration experience
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting industrial automation systems
• Experience integrating industrial field devices
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs
• Strong controls troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working hands-on in industrial environments
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
• Willingness to travel
