QA/QC Specialist - Data Centers

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager, Architecture – Mission Critical Data Centers to lead quality assurance and quality control efforts across our rapidly growing portfolio of data center and mission critical projects.

This role will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving architectural quality processes while supporting project teams throughout all phases of design and construction. The successful candidate will serve as a technical resource for architects and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that project deliverables meet Arcadis quality standards, client requirements, applicable codes, and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in data center architecture, exceptional technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a passion for mentoring teams and improving project delivery excellence.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead architectural QA/QC reviews for mission critical and data center projects throughout all project phases, from concept design through construction administration.
• Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure design deliverables align with client standards, operational requirements, Arcadis quality procedures, and industry best practices.
• Verify compliance with applicable building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and commissioning disciplines, to identify and resolve design coordination issues.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, technical workshops, and project quality audits.
• Support project teams in identifying design risks and implementing quality improvement measures throughout project delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve QA/QC standards, review checklists, templates, and quality management processes for the Mission Critical practice.
• Provide technical mentorship, quality guidance, and training to architects, designers, and project teams.
• Perform construction-phase quality reviews and site visits to verify conformance with design intent and support resolution of RFIs, submittals, and field conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch., M.Arch., or equivalent).
• Licensed Architect (RA, NCARB, or equivalent).
• 10+ years of architectural experience, including significant experience delivering data center, mission critical, industrial, or other complex technical facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in technical design reviews, QA/QC processes, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and architectural detailing.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination, and construction documentation development.
• Data center and mission critical project experience.
• Strong technical and quality-focused mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to identify design risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $158,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
