Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone to gather information about their service needs.
• Create service orders, detailing the customer's concerns, desired services, and vehicle information.
• Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and according to customer specifications.
• Provide customers with detailed explanations of service requirements, parts, and repair processes.
• Track and update customers on the status of their vehicle service, ensuring clear communication throughout.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and service orders in the system.
• Upsell additional services and products when appropriate, ensuring customer satisfaction and service revenue goals are met.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns, offering solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all service documentation is completed and processed accurately, including invoices, warranties, and other paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized service area and ensure all customer vehicles are handled with care.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (automotive-related courses or training preferred).
• Proven experience in an automotive service writer or service advisor role (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with automotive service management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.).
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
