McClure Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional resident-centered care.
As the ADON, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the facility, mentor nursing staff, and help maintain the highest standards of quality care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing all nursing services throughout the facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff education, and continuous quality improvement while fostering a positive and accountable clinical culture.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management of the Nursing Department.
Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Assist with staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
Promote high-quality resident care through clinical oversight and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and infection prevention programs.
Maintain survey readiness and assist during state and federal regulatory surveys.
Review clinical documentation, investigate incidents, and implement corrective action plans when needed.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve positive resident outcomes.
Support staff education, competency training, and ongoing professional development.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Previous nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, or long-term care setting strongly preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Passion for resident-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
