Delta View Post Acute is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nursing professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and providing exceptional care to our residents.
As the ADON, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, support nursing staff, and promote a culture of quality, safety, and resident-centered care.
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing assists in the planning, coordination, and supervision of nursing services throughout the facility. This leadership position helps maintain high clinical standards, supports nursing staff education and performance, and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department.
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care.
Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating nursing personnel.
Participate in infection prevention, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
Help maintain survey readiness and support successful regulatory inspections.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to promote positive clinical outcomes.
Assist with incident investigations, documentation reviews, and corrective action plans.
Provide clinical guidance and leadership while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Support staff education and ongoing competency training.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Previous nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, or long-term care setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Commitment to resident-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
