Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Unit Process & Equipment Engineer (UPE/EE) to join our Final Test & Packing organization. This role combines ownership of both manufacturing processes and test equipment to drive operational excellence in quality, yield, productivity, reliability, and cost competitiveness. You will serve as the key interface between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Product Engineering, and Development teams to ensure robust process control, equipment performance, and successful introduction of new products and technologies.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Own and continuously improve Final Test & Packing manufacturing processes.
- Develop, optimize, and qualify new processes to enhance quality, yield, and productivity.
- Drive process stability through process control methodologies such as SPC, Cpk analysis, and continuous monitoring.
- Lead process improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis tools.
- Support daily manufacturing operations, including DDM, MRB handling, and process issue resolution.
- Drive ramp-up activities, capacity expansion projects, and new product/process introductions.
- Manage process documentation, work instructions, FMEA, and process qualifications.
- Act as internal package/process owner and technical expert for assigned manufacturing areas.
- Support manufacturing KPIs including Yield, Throughput, Cycle Time, and Quality performance.
- Own Final Tester and supporting equipment performance, reliability, and availability.
- Lead equipment installation, qualification, safe release, and commissioning activities.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance systems and equipment standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Analyze equipment performance data and implement improvement actions to increase OEE.
- Drive equipment modification, automation, and capability enhancement projects.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance procedures, and equipment documentation.
- Support quality investigations and customer audits related to equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Drive productivity, cost reduction, and factory performance improvement initiatives.
- Utilize manufacturing data and statistical analysis tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate across Production, Quality, Product Engineering, and Global Manufacturing teams.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on yield improvement, equipment uptime, and process robustness.
- Support digitalization, smart manufacturing, and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Semiconductor, Electronics Manufacturing, Final Test, Assembly, or High-Tech Manufacturing.
- Experience in Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Test Engineering.
- Knowledge of Final Test, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Assembly, or Packaging processes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
