Description
Our Client is a 5* boutique resort with exclusive villas for a total of +/- 40 rooms.
Although relatively small in number of rooms, the resort features extensive F&B operations and is renowned for hosting a large number of weddings and special events, welcoming both in-house and outside guests.
The successful candidate must have a very strong marketing background, with sales expertise built upon a foundation in marketing, rather than the more traditional sales background with responsibility for marketing.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
• Oversee all marketing and sales including leisure, F&B, events, wedding sales
• Develop relationships with key media players and the travel industry
• Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels
• Create PR & Marketing plan
• Main contact for Journalists and Editors
• Main contact for PR/Marketing department of the local and international Tourism Board Offices and airlines
• Ensure financial successes of resort by overseeing all expenses and ensure return on investment of all activities
• Manages the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts
• Provides day to day leadership to sales associates to achieve property sales objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and property revenues
• Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel’s sales objectives
• Evaluates the property’s participation in various sales channels
• Manages the marketing budget to enable development of property specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives
• Interfaces with external marketing communications for regional and national promotions pull through
Profile
• Experience in similar role
• Well experienced with social media and other online channels
• Solid established contacts with international high end luxury tour operators
• Strong knowledge in international PR & Marketing, both traditional and digital
• Sound understanding of the luxury lifestyle market
• Strong client network across the luxury leisure space in key feeder markets, such as Australia, USA & Europe
• Passion for the role / a “go getter” naturally outgoing personality
• Ability to travel to attend trade shows
• Hungry and willing to think far outside the box in addition to conventional sales methods
• Clear understanding of revenue/yield management techniques
• Excellent English both oral and written
• Outstanding selling and negotiation skills
• Comprehensive computer skills and computer literacy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate his/her team
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Good owners-relationship skills
• Result oriented in order to achieve targets
• Positive attitude, fun, social, engaging, dynamic
• Able to make decisions, takes full ownership and responsibility
