As part of this mission-driven organization, you'll play a critical role in supporting the facilities, infrastructure, and environmental health and safety programs that enable the manufacturing of life-changing medical technologies.

The Opportunity

Abbott's Cardiac Rhythm Management division is seeking a leader to oversee Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Operational Excellence initiatives at our manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient operating environment while driving continuous improvement across facilities, maintenance, and EHS functions.

The successful candidate will lead teams responsible for facilities and EHS operations, support site reliability and infrastructure needs, manage budgets and projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and reliability of facility systems, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of facility-related issues to minimize downtime and business disruptions.
  • Establish and maintain strong safety and housekeeping practices throughout the site.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Evaluate and optimize facility, office, and production layouts to support operational requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure activities are executed within approved financial targets.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to support manufacturing and business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Facilities, Maintenance, Environmental Health & Safety, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience leading teams and supporting operational initiatives in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience managing facility systems, maintenance programs, EHS initiatives, or operational excellence projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing capital projects, contractors, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and compliance programs.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functional areas.
  • Data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
