Description
Performs all computerized tomography imaging studies while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner for the purposes of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and within the scope of their license.
Flexible scheduling for 8 or 12 hr shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all computerized tomography imaging studies and administration of contrast media.
- Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists.
- Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check as needed.
- Responsible for departmental records and proper documentation.
- Communicates reactions, complications, changes in condition to appropriate staff.
- Performs staff/student education and orientation duties as needed

Education and/or Experience
- One year of experience in Cat Scan stronlgy preferred
- Graduate from an approved program in radiologic technology
- CT x-ray equipment system; contrast injector; film laser printer; PCs
- IEMA License; AART registration or eligible; CT certification or eligibility by the ARRT
