Description
We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded and analytical Management Accountant to oversee financial planning, cost control and management reporting while contributing to business growth and decision-making. The ideal candidate must have proven leadership experience, strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align financial performance with organisational objectives.
<strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong>
Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports and performance analyses.
Lead budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
Analyse financial performance, expenditure and budget variances, recommending corrective action.
Monitor costs, profitability and operational performance to support strategic decision-making.
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring effective service delivery and accountability.
Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters on behalf of the organisation.
Strengthen financial controls, accounting systems and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business planning, resource allocation and growth.
Collaborate with departmental managers to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.
<strong>Person Specifications, Qualifications & Experience:</strong>
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
A recognised professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
At least three years of relevant accounting or management accounting experience.
Demonstrated experience leading a team or department.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cost management and financial analysis.
Proven ability to engage and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and strong decision-making skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of integrity and accountability.
