Annual Salary:  $91,128 - $170,032

Job Overview

The Engineering Lead – Cold Box Packaging is responsible for providing technical leadership and engineering oversight for the design, packaging, integration, and delivery of cold box systems supporting the company’s clean energy solutions. This role leads multidisciplinary engineering activities from concept and detailed design through fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning. This position works closely with Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Electrical/Controls, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, Quality, and field teams to deliver reliable and efficient packaged systems.

 

The position is designed to serve as the knowledge expert in Cold Box Packaging in addition to basic essential functions and responsibilities.  Location of the position can be at any Nikkiso site.

Responsibilities

· Lead the engineering development of cold box packaging systems from concept through final delivery.

· Establish packaging concepts, engineering requirements, design criteria, and technical approaches.

· Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and resolve technical interfaces between engineering disciplines.

· Provide technical direction to engineers and designers supporting cold box projects

· Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, drawings, specifications, and design documentation within assigned authority,

· Establish and maintain engineering standards, design practices, templates and best practices for packaging.

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Mechanical Engineering, chemical Engineering or closely related engineering field.

· Eight plus years of engineering experience preferably involving cryogenic systems, process equipment, packages systems, pressure systems, or industrial equipment.

· Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities.

· Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, piping systems, pressure-containing systems, and equipment packaging.

· Experience interpreting P&ID’s, equipment specifications, piping layouts and engineering drawings.

· Experience working with 3D CAD Design systems and engineering documentation.

· Strong understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards.

· Professional Engineer license a plus

· Proven expertise in relationship management.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
