At AIMCo, technology is a critical enabler of our investment strategy and our ability to deliver long-term results for the clients we serve.We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Front Office Technology & Business Delivery to join our Global Technology & Data team. Reporting to Front & Middle Office Technology leadership, this role will lead a small, high-performing team supporting the technology platforms and services used by AIMCo's investment, risk, compliance, treasury, and trading teams.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity at the intersection of technology and investments. As a people leader, you will be accountable for delivering technology solutions that support AIMCo's investment business while leading a team responsible for the ongoing support, enhancement, and evolution of critical investment platforms. You'll partner closely with stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Compliance, Trading, Treasury, and other business functions to ensure technology capabilities continue to meet business needs while supporting AIMCo's long-term strategic priorities.
Working directly with Portfolio Managers, investment leaders, risk professionals, and technology partners, you will help deliver solutions that support investment decision-making, operational excellence, and strategic transformation initiatives. From advancing multi-year programs to ensuring operational stability across critical investment platforms, you will play an important role in shaping AIMCo's investment technology landscape.
This role offers an opportunity to lead within a sophisticated investment environment undergoing significant technology evolution, with major initiatives underway across treasury, client operations, investment platforms, and future-state technology delivery. What You Will Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Business Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, Developers, and technology professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Build trusted partnerships with business stakeholders across investment and corporate functions.
- Support the delivery, enhancement, and operational stability of investment-facing business applications.
- Lead technology teams responsible for both day-to-day operations and project execution.
- Drive prioritization, planning, resource management, and delivery across multiple initiatives and competing business needs.
- Partner with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architects, and technology peers to deliver business value through technology solutions.
- Provide leadership during incident management, issue resolution, and production support activities.
- Contribute to strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and modernization efforts across the investment technology portfolio.
- Support vendor relationships and external technology partners where required.
- Champion Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement practices across the team.
- Ensure technology solutions align with business objectives, risk requirements, and operational needs.
What We're Looking For
You are a collaborative and business-focused technology leader with experience supporting investment management organizations. You understand the pace and complexity of investment environments and are comfortable leading teams while balancing stakeholder expectations, operational priorities, and strategic initiatives.
We welcome interest from both established managers and seasoned senior leaders. The successful candidate will be appointed at either the Manager or Senior Manager level based on experience and overall fit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5+ years of demonstrated experience in the capital markets or investment management industry, including experience delivering or supporting IT solutions across the investment lifecycle.
- Experience managing a team, or demonstrated leadership success in an individual-contributor role, including leading projects, mentoring junior colleagues, or informally guiding a workstream.
- Working knowledge of capital markets products, with experience supporting one or more of:
- OTC Derivatives
- Equity Markets
- Fixed Income
- Private Markets
- Experience delivering technology projects while supporting ongoing production operations and business-critical applications.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience using work management tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in complex environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a pension fund, asset management organization, institutional investor, or broader financial services environment.
- Experience supporting investment platforms such as Aladdin, eFront, SimCorp, Bloomberg, or similar investment management technologies.
- Experience leading technology teams supporting front-office, middle-office, treasury, risk, or investment operations functions.
- Exposure to AI-enabled technology delivery or automation initiatives.
- Experience managing technology vendors and external delivery partners.
- Relevant professional certifications in project management, Agile delivery, investment operations, or technology leadership would be considered an asset.
