Medical Assistant - PACE Program

Make a Difference in the Lives of Older Adults

Join our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) team as a Medical Assistant and help provide compassionate, participant-centered care that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life for frail and elderly adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Support providers during participant exams and treatments.
• Perform triage, vital signs, weights, and nursing assessments.
• Administer and document medications, immunizations, EKGs, laboratory specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
• Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Monitor participant health and report changes to the care team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Support front office operations, including participant check-in, phone calls, and scheduling assistance.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supply inventories.
• Follow infection control, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Medical Assistant certification required (preferred in states where not mandated).
• Minimum one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or community-based healthcare is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
