Description of Work
The role of the Administrative Specialist I is to provide vital administrative support to the DHHS Office of the Controller (OOC) and their delegated section through efficient use of assigned and available resources and effective relationship with staff. This position is to request and purchase office supplies, equipment and/or furniture for OOC via an automated purchasing system. This position is responsible for answering & routing phone calls for OOC, opening, stamping, distributing and processing large volumes of incoming and outgoing mail for the Controller’s Staff. This position will assist with back up for the receptionist area and mail courier and other clerical duties as needed. This position must be flexible in learning new procedures and assisting the Administrative Supervisor with Special projects as needed to make OOC function in an efficient manner.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade Range: $39,244.00 - $68,679.00
Recruitment Range: $38,720.00 - $49,500.00
