The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summer Intern will work closely with Information Technology teams to support the Bank's emerging AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, intelligent automation, data analytics, AI governance, and enterprise productivity tools.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside technology leaders and practitioners who are actively deploying enterprise AI capabilities, automation solutions, AI agents, productivity tools, and governance frameworks in a regulated financial services environment. Interns will gain practical experience applying AI to real business challenges while helping shape the future of work at the Bank.
You will assist in designing, testing, and evaluating AI-enabled solutions that help improve employee productivity, enhance business processes, and support responsible AI adoption across the organization. Projects may include developing AI agents, researching new AI capabilities, supporting proof-of-concept initiatives, analyzing AI usage metrics, and helping document governance and best practices. The internship offers exposure to real-world applications of Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, automation platforms, data analytics, cybersecurity use cases, and enterprise technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Innovation
- Assist with the development, testing, and enhancement of AI-powered solutions and digital assistants.
- Support the design and configuration of AI agents using enterprise AI platforms.
- Research emerging AI technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
- Participate in pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives focused on AI and automation.
- Help evaluate business use cases and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI.
Data Analytics & Insights
- Analyze AI adoption and utilization metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Create reports and dashboards that measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives.
- Assist with data collection, cleansing, and analysis activities supporting technology projects.
- Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Support efforts to streamline business processes through automation technologies.
- Assist with documenting workflows and identifying repetitive tasks suitable for automation.
- Help test automated solutions and validate expected outcomes.
- Contribute ideas for improving employee productivity and operational efficiency.
Responsible AI & Governance
- Assist with documenting AI governance processes, standards, and controls.
- Support activities related to responsible AI practices, data privacy, security, and risk management.
- Help maintain AI-related documentation, procedures, and knowledge resources.
- Participate in discussions regarding ethical and compliant use of AI technologies.
User Enablement & Training
- Assist in developing educational materials, user guides, and training resources.
- Support AI adoption efforts across departments.
- Gather feedback from users and help identify opportunities to improve AI solutions and user experience.
- Help promote awareness of AI capabilities and best practices throughout the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants should be enrolled at an accredited four-year institution and be at least of Junior status
- Should have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing
- Desired fields of study include; Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operations Management, Management Information Systems, or other technical discipline
- Internships will start May 2027 through August 2027.
Salary Range:
$38,800.00 - $58,100.00The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
