MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator for a U.S.-based organization specializing in concrete construction projects.

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in West Nyack, New York, ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional with hands-on estimating experience and a strong understanding of concrete methods, materials, plans, and project costs.

About the Role

The Concrete Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential concrete projects. The position requires the ability to analyze drawings and specifications, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, evaluate labor and material requirements, and support projects from preconstruction through handoff.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, bid packages, and contract documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for foundations, slabs, walls, sidewalks, curbs, structural concrete, and related scopes.
• Prepare accurate estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze project risks, cost drivers, and value opportunities.
• Prepare bid proposals and support contract negotiation activities.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical costs, and unit pricing information.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and operations teams during project handoff.
• Track awarded and lost projects to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Stay current with market pricing, construction trends, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience within the concrete construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed project estimates.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Availability to work on-site in West Nyack, NY.

Preferred Experience

• Experience estimating both commercial and residential concrete projects.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, BuildingConnected, or comparable construction platforms.
