Job Summary
ATS is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and manage specialized transportation and project cargo initiatives from planning through execution.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with safety, contractual, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to successfully manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and customer expectations simultaneously.
Strong multitasking skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact project performance are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead conference calls, project meetings, and status updates.
- Communicate project changes, timelines, concerns, and resolutions to customers and stakeholders.
- Delegate project tasks and coordinate resources to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Project Planning & Execution
- Execute project transportation plans and ensure operational requirements are fulfilled.
- Ensure transportation routes are established, reviewed, and approved.
- Coordinate third-party services and vendors required for project completion.
- Ensure all pre-project technical requirements are completed.
- Coordinate cargo loading, securement, and transportation activities.
Financial & Contract Management
- Review and manage contract terms and conditions.
- Support pricing models and profitability objectives.
- Approve weekly invoices and related project expenses.
Team Coordination & Safety
- Coordinate and support project assistants and site supervisors.
- Monitor site supervisor performance and collaborate with internal contacts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with project safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to understand and interpret contract terms and conditions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment & Travel
- Ability to work flexible hours, including responsibilities outside normal business hours as needed.
- Ability to travel to customer locations when required.
- Infrequent overnight travel may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000. + performance-based incentive compensation. Total cash compensation potential of $90,000 - $110,000
Base salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location, compared to others performing substantially similar work.
