Responsibilities
- Design customized exercise programs based on each client’s goals, movement assessment, and health history.
- Deliver safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions.
- Track progress and perform regular reassessments to keep clients moving toward their goals.
- Coach clients in strength training, mobility, balance, functional fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Build lasting relationships that create accountability and an exceptional client experience.
- Collaborate with fellow trainers to continuously improve programming and coaching techniques.
- Maintain accurate client records and contribute to a clean, professional studio environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
- Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain before employment)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
- Passion for improving the lives of others through fitness
Preferred
- National certification through NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent
- One or more years of personal training experience
- Experience working with general population, active older adults, weight management, corrective exercise, and post-rehabilitation clients
