In this role, you will be working as a Controls Engineer - Critical Power for a client that works in the power distribution industry. This position will be responsible for design, development and implementation of control systems for low and medium-voltage switchgear applications.
This position is a direct hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked on-site.
Pay; 130,000/Yr. depending on experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in control system engineering with a focus on switchgear design and implementation
- Program and configure PLCS - Siemens and Fanuc preferred
- SCADA and HMI experience using WinCC and Wonderware
- Configure and test protection relays, power meters and switchgear automation systems
- Strong understanding of project relays, electrical schematics etc.
- Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Perform specification reviews and project takeoffs
- Adhere to project schedules
- Approximately 10% travel needed
