We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to join our iconic Four Seasons Hotel Milano.
What you will do
The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and supports the strategic and operational leadership of all Food & Beverage outlets. This role oversees all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, kitchen, pastry, stewarding, and banquets, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial performance, and exceptional guest experiences. The position drives execution, team performance, and continuous improvement across both front- and back-of-house operations.
Provide comprehensive oversight of all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, stewarding, and supporting functions.
Maintain and elevate service excellence, brand standards, and guest experience across all outlets.
Monitor guest feedback to identify improvement areas and actively manage and resolve escalated guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Lead and cultivate a high-performing operations team through effective coaching, mentorship, and structured talent development, ensuring a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline.
Establish, implement, and continuously refine SOPs, service protocols, and operational frameworks.
Drive operational improvements to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and elevate service delivery.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain market relevance.
Collaborate with culinary, bar, and marketing teams on menu engineering, beverage programming, promotions, and concept evolution.
Take ownership of financial performance across F&B operations, including revenue growth and cost management, and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in alignment with business objectives.
Identify and drive revenue opportunities through pricing strategies, promotions, upselling initiatives, beverage sales optimization, and outlet performance enhancement.
Maintain strong cost discipline while safeguarding product quality and guest experience.
Maintain strong operational discipline through regular audits and quality assurance processes.
Ensure strict compliance with health, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations across all outlets.
Act as a key partner to the Director of Food & Beverage in executing departmental objectives and business strategies.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Excellent operational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, banquet, and beverage operations.
Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to service excellence.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Schedule & Hours:
This position is based at the Four Seasons Hotel Milan.
The candidate must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian.
