KLA has manufacturing sites worldwide. The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation and Quality, builds our leading-edge technology. GOPS partners with KLA's global supply base and design engineering teams to develop new products, working continuously to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

We are looking for a proactive and technically minded Supply Chain Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of mechanical, electronic, and optical components and systems, while driving supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply chain excellence.

Working within a highly innovative and international environment, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, logistics, and global procurement teams in the United States, Singapore, and Israel. You will play a key role in ensuring supply continuity, developing supplier partnerships, and supporting the long-term success of our business.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing and procurement of mechanical, electronic, and optical components and systems.
• Independently negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives and framework agreements.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while continuously improving supplier performance.
• Identify and implement supply chain optimization opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Represent the interests of the local site within supplier negotiations and escalation processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to support operational and business requirements.
• Work effectively with global procurement and supply chain organizations in the USA, Singapore, and Israel to align sourcing strategies and leverage best practices.
• Monitor supplier performance, market trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sourcing mechanical, electronic, and/or optical components.
• Knowledge of supplier development and supply chain optimization methodologies.
• Experience with contract management and strategic supplier negotiations.
• Ability to work effectively within global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management within an industrial environment.
• Experience working in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to drive results independently.
• Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Business fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Occasional domestic and international travel, including to the United States, may be required as part of this role up to approximately 20%.
