Business Development Intern

Position Summary:

• The Business Development Intern will support the Global Business Line Management team by assisting with business analysis, market research, pricing analysis, sales reporting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.
• This role provides hands-on exposure to product management, commercial strategy, market intelligence, and business analytics within a global industrial automation business.
• The intern will work closely with Global Business Line Managers, Regional Business Line Managers, Sales Leaders, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and communicate critical business information that supports growth, profitability, and customer engagement initiatives.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

• Market Research for Valve Switchboxes and Positioners to grow organically or inorganically 
• Define and Automate Project and Quote win/loss analysis and conduct Hit Rate Analysis to support funnel growth 
• Drive pricing efficiency and forecast improvement using data modeling techniques. 
• Create Standard Workflow documents for day-to-day reporting processes 
• Review market trends and emerging segments to target existing and new product development and growth.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

·         In process of obtaining B.S. in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related degree.

·         Exceptional marketing and analytical skills.

·         Knowledge of different sales strategies and product life cycle.

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·         Excellent presentation skills and costumer focus.

·         Ability to operate across the business and in different environments/cultures.

·         Highly motivated, innovative, and sound negotiation skills.

·         Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software. 

·         College degree or equivalent educational experience, in a technical or business-related subject e.g. engineering, manufacturing, business systems or marketing 

·         2 or more years of business analysis experience 

·         2 or more years of Power Bi and Salesforce experience 

·         Advanced Excel knowledge is a must 

·         Strong Manufacturing / Supply Chain knowledge 

·         Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities 

·         Ability to operate across the business and in different environments and cultures. 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

·         Experience in Product Management for a technical product.

·         Oil & Gas / Power / Chemical industry experience 

·         Knowledge of different sales strategies 

·         Knowledge of 80/20 Pricing Strategies

Salary range: $25.00 hourly. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
