Description
1. Perform and initiate annual compliance review plan, taking into consideration of the following:
o Approximately 208 branches nationwide
o Health checks for business/functional areas across the bank
o Gap assessments on new and/or revised regulatory requirements
o Forward-looking, current or emerging risk relating to regulations across all sectors
o New regulations that have been issued and/or updated by the regulators and fully implemented by the Bank within the past year
o Past incidences / non-compliances
2. Always keep abreast with the latest regulatory updates, trends and best practices.
3. Collaborate with management to appropriately evaluate and investigate compliance issues/concerns identified during the review.
4. Conduct exit meetings with management to articulate any compliance issues/concerns.
5. Work closely with BCOs/BRCOs and the management to develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of compliance issues/concerns.
6. Monitor the performance of the annual compliance review plan and ensure appropriate steps are taken to accommodate any ad-hoc activities/requests from the regulators.
7. Ensure reporting of non-compliances or potential non-compliances are documented and reported to Board and Management.
8. Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Board and Management informed of compliance issues/concerns.
9. Responsible for management of team members within the team, facilitating workflow and capacity management at team-level. Coach those within their team and help them to develop their careers. Resolve escalated issues raised by the team members.
