Supply Chain Manager
Location: Downtown Houston, TX
Schedule: Hybrid (In Office Tuesday - Thursday | Remote Monday & Friday)

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship initiatives supporting a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and cost-effective procurement of equipment, materials, and services while driving supplier performance, contract compliance, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will partner closely with engineering, operations, project management, finance, and legal teams to support capital projects, ongoing operations, and corporate procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing strategy development, RFx management, supplier selection, negotiation, contract execution, and post-award supplier management.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect spend categories.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing agreements, master service agreements, and supplier contracts.
- Support procurement activities related to:
- Thermal power generation assets
- Renewable energy projects
- Data center infrastructure
- Corporate and indirect procurement categories
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive supplier and market analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, develop sourcing plans, and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contracting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support inventory optimization and logistics coordination to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Track market trends, supply chain disruptions, and commodity impacts that may affect project execution or operational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management roles.
- Proven experience managing the entire sourcing and procurement process from strategy development through contract negotiation and execution.
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of procurement practices supporting industrial, energy, power generation, infrastructure, or capital project environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and project management teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting power generation, energy, renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or data center projects.
- Background in category management and strategic sourcing programs.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects and operational procurement initiatives.
