MUFG is seeking an Associate, Corporate Banking to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers you the opportunity to engage with a diverse portfolio comprising corporate, institutional, and governmental clients, whilst promoting an extensive array of banking products and services. You will be entrusted with cultivating meaningful client relationships, conducting thorough risk assessments, and supporting the structuring of transactions that safeguard MUFG’s interests.
What you'll do:
As an Associate, Corporate Banking, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients. You will be expected to foster long-term relationships by discerning client needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring their directives are executed promptly.
Supervise and manage a designated portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring achievement of business, revenue, and portfolio growth targets
Develop trusted client relationships by understanding clients' business strategies, challenges and growth ambitions, and providing banking solutions to support their long-term objectives
Drive portfolio profitability by increasing wallet share, originating new business opportunities and expanding financing, transaction banking, global market, trade finance and recurring revenue streams
Assist MUFG's business promotion, cross-selling, and strategic initiatives, contributing to the department's overall performance and profitability
Develop and execute account strategies to deepen client engagement, identify unmet needs, and connect clients with relevant MUFG capabilities and specialist expertise
Originate, structure and coordinate the delivery of integrated banking solutions that address clients' evolving business requirements while optimizing risk-adjusted returns for the MUFG
Conduct appropriate assessments of client risk profiles, suitability, and regulatory requirements, while working closely with Compliance, Credit, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure sound risk management and seamless transaction execution
Ensure timely handling of client instructions, inquiries, and operational matters, maintaining a high standard of service and client satisfaction
Monitor industry trends, market developments, and business transformation opportunities to identify potential client solutions and new business opportunities beyond traditional banking products
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value-added solutions
What you bring:
To excel in this role, your credentials should reflect a steadfast commitment to establishing dependable relationships within the financial sector. Your familiarity with banking products allows you to offer insightful guidance tailored to each client’s requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, or related discipline
At least 3 years’ experience within corporate banking or related financial sectors
Effective communication skills that enable you to influence others positively whilst presenting products persuasively
Strong stakeholder management capabilities that foster harmonious collaboration across various departments
Comprehensive understanding of local finance laws and regulations essential for compliance within banking operations
Demonstrate profound knowledge of the bank’s products and services
