Federal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisThe Talent and Engagement (T&E) division is hiring a Senior Project Manager. As the Bank’s human resources team, T&E plays a critical role to ensure the Bank has the talent needed for mission success. In this role, you will guide and support the use of division technology supporting a variety of human resources functions, learning management systems, survey platforms, and other technologies that support informing employee information at all stages of employment. You will coordinate and support division activities such as strategic planning, communications, and leadership meetings. You will also manage complex projects and support the administrative operations team to deliver consistent processes and dependable service.Success in this role requires someone who works well in a collaborative team environment and partners effectively with colleagues across divisions. The Senior Project Manager must be comfortable working in situations where information is incomplete and priorities shift. Adaptability, relationship building, and strong problem solving skills are essential. Human resources experience is helpful but not required. What matters more is steady project leadership, clear communication, and the ability to stay grounded when conditions change. The position also requires practical experience with the tools central to the division’s daily work.
Essential Functions
Working independently with limited supervision, the Senior Project Manager:
- Manages all aspects of intermediate sized, moderately complex projects involving significant cross functional areas of the Division, Bank, Federal Reserve System.
- Coordinates activities of project teams, determines and acquires needed resources, assigns individual responsibilities, and develops project plans that ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Provides work direction to project team members.
- The ideal candidate knows how to maintain SharePoint sites, organize documents, and manage access. Experience using Workday to process forms, run reports, and support case submissions and Qualtrics, to build surveys and dashboards, is strongly valued.
- Provides analytical and decision-making support to management on proposed changes to services, functions, and processes using cost/benefit frameworks, process reengineering approaches, and other quantitative techniques.
- Manages project communications, facilitates meetings and conference calls, and coordinates work activities across stakeholder groups.
- Works on problems of diverse scope that require analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors, and performs other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum four years of operations, financial analysis or project management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint Online, including experience creating and managing sites, setting and maintaining user access, and building simple workflows or process‑automation tools.
- Experience using HR systems, such as Workday, with familiarity in system configurations, core business processes, and building reports that support data analysis and operational decision‑making.
- Proficiency with survey tools, such as Qualtrics, including building, launching, and monitoring surveys and using platform tools to track responses and performance.
Additional Information
*The full salary range is $82,600-$103,262-$123,900). The expected starting salary range is $90,000-$105,000. Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
