Position Summary
We're hiring a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to be at the forefront of providing primary and preventative care to our patients. Working in collaboration with our physician, you'll perform patient evaluations, diagnose and treat illnesses, manage chronic conditions, order and interpret labs, and prescribe treatment — delivering excellent, personalized care to individuals and families.
Job Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with our physician to assess the physical and health needs of patients
- Provide primary, acute, and preventative care across the lifespan through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries
- Order, interpret, and record results of clinical and lab tests, and act on results
- Prescribe medications and recommend other therapeutic forms of treatment
- Diagnose and manage chronic disease; provide ongoing patient management and ensure use of best practices and evidence-based care
- Advise patients on health and wellness
- Collaborate with and support nursing staff and medical assistants; help drive practice improvements across the organization
- Observe patients' progress and record observations in the patient's medical record
- Promote patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand their conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Engage in continuous education to stay ahead of developments in the field
Qualifications
- Active Utah APRN/NP license or PA license in good standing (or eligible to obtain)
- NP: Master's degree (MSN), building on RN education and licensure, with national board certification (e.g., FNP); PA: master's-level PA program with current NCCPA certification
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in primary care or family practice preferred
- Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team-based setting
- Comfortable working in an electronic health record (EHR)
