Overview
Serve as primary business partner across commercial, finance, legal and marketing to ensure robust approval process, contract compliance, revenue recognition and EFA & Pricing governance. Drive profitability through pricing analysis including promotion and rebate, deal evaluation including cash equipment deal, compliance monitoring.
Major Accountabilities
EFA including cash deal
- Accountable for the governance of EFA commercial agreements supported by robust due diligence process in the approval of deals
- Deals are approved according to the local MAL and SOP approval procedures.
- EFAs are supported by robust Profit Analysis Template “PAT”, and Accounting Treatment form “ATF” reviewed and approved by authorised personnel
- Ensure Legal approve deviations from standard agreements and amendments to existing EFAs
- Ensure credit checks/ validation of accounting entries tying to the contract & supported by approved proposal/profitability analysis
- Single point of contact for all EFA related matters within local CPO and region and division
- Monitor the progress and action plan of the EFA contract remediation.
- Monitor and submit monthly EFA’s KPIs and progress of actions plan (etc in improvement of compliance rate and or payback)
- Be part of the cross functions EFA governance committee for deals approval and ensure minutes of the EFAs approval & governance committee exists
- Lead the EFA compliance monitoring procedure and the follow up actions that addresses the variables to be monitored (e.g. compliance rate, agreed upon product quantities, product pricing, and term)
- Execution of timely compliance billing in accordance to requirement.
- Business partnering with the surgical commercial and legal team to ensure seamless commercial execution and compliance of all contracts
- Business partnering with FRA in ensuring revenue recognition criteria is fulfilled (contract signed, installation, training requirements are fulfilled etc.) and bad debt provision computation & communication to FRA
- Business partnering with BPA on providing AR Information for deal analysis & other analytics
- Provide guidance and training for all EFA queries and latest updates at local CPO
- Update and align local EFA SOP with region and division
Pricing
- Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with business objective and market dynamic
- Manage product pricing across portfolio, including list price, ASP maintenance
- Evaluate and provide financial simulation on rebate, promotion and commercial programs
- Own and maintain pricing governance framework
- Establish and manage pricing approval process
- Ensure compliance with global or regional pricing policies
- Support tender, distributor, key account and strategic customer pricing decision
- Support pricing accuracy in system and invoice
- Collaborate with business on new product launches
Ideal Background
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, business or commercial related field
Languages
- Fluent in English and native in Chinese
- Prior experience in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation.
- Possess a strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills are comfortable dealing with numerical data and have strong attention to detail.
- Expert in advanced PowerPoint, Excel skills and managing/analyzing large quantities of data
- Excellent customer service, communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills in a fast-paced, demanding sales environment including tight turnarounds and juggling multiple high priorities
- Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics and a sound understanding of financial analysis
- Experience in the medical device industry
