All about the role:
The Head of Product Risk & Scenario Management is a senior leadership role within the Transformation & Program Management organization, responsible for establishing and leading a Product-level Centre of Excellence for risk and scenario management. Working through a federated network of experts across Product, Procurement, R&D, Finance, IT, Legal, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management, the role will define the common risk framework, governance approach and Product top-risk view. The position enables the Product Leadership Team to identify risks early, assess business impact, evaluate scenarios and support informed decision-making on priorities, resources, delivery and business cases. It also leads Product-level supplier risk and resilience management in close partnership with Procurement. Aligned with Electrolux Group's Enterprise Risk Management framework, the role promotes a common risk language, transparency and effective escalation, while operational risk ownership remains with the respective functional teams.
What you’ll do:
Establish Product Risk & Scenario Management: Build and lead the Product Organization’s risk and scenario management capability as a small Centre of Excellence, working through a federated expert network across key Product and Group functions.
Own the Product risk method and cadence: Define and continuously improve the common taxonomy, scenario method, governance cadence, trigger monitoring and Product top-risk view, aligned with the Electrolux Group Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Create executive-ready top-risk visibility: Ensure top Product risks have clear owners, mitigation logic, ageing, triggers, impact assessment and decision asks.
Develop cross-Product business scenarios: Build scenarios for material Product risks such as geopolitical disruption, regulatory change, demand shifts, supply constraints, technology changes, cyber exposure, quality issues, resource bottlenecks and major delivery risks.
Connect regional geopolitical insight to Product decisions: Work with regional geopolitics experts and relevant business stakeholders to translate external geopolitical signals into practical Product risk scenarios, triggers, business impact assessments and decision options.
Support Product Leadership Team decisions: Prepare scenario packs, options, triggers, escalation paths and decision logs ahead of major Product Leadership Team priority, resource, business-case and delivery decisions.
Lead Procurement supplier risk at Product level: Manage and mature supplier portfolio resilience methods together with Procurement, including Time to Recover, Time to Survive, source criticality and recovery options, while keeping operational supplier-risk execution with Procurement.
Align with Enterprise Risk Management: Partner with the Enterprise Risk Management team to ensure Product risk and scenario management follows established Group frameworks, including consistent risk categories, risk ownership principles, reporting expectations and escalation logic.
Challenge and connect assumptions: Work with Product Lines, Research and Development, Procurement, Product Strategy and Innovation teams, Program and Project Management, product development process governance, Finance, Information Technology and other functions to surface weak signals, test assumptions and connect functional risks into an integrated Product-level view.
Build preparedness without bureaucracy: Develop pragmatic tools, dashboards, playbooks and governance routines that improve decision quality, reduce late surprises and avoid unnecessary process burden.
What success looks like:
After 6 months
The Product Risk & Scenario Management function is established with a clear mandate, governance model, stakeholder network, and operating framework aligned with Enterprise Risk Management.
A common Product risk and scenario management approach is in place, including an agreed risk taxonomy, scenario methodology, and integrated supplier risk and resilience assessments in partnership with Procurement.
Leadership has visibility of the most material Product risks and scenarios, with consolidated risk reporting, ownership, mitigation plans, impact assessments, and decision-support packs for key business risks.
Longer term
Risk and scenario management are embedded into Product decision-making, supporting portfolio reviews, business cases, resource allocation, governance processes, and major strategic decisions.
Product leaders have a consistent and proactive view of risk, opportunities, trade-offs, and resilience, leveraging scenario planning, supplier resilience insights, geopolitical intelligence, and Enterprise Risk Management input.
The Product Risk & Scenario Management Centre of Excellence is recognized as a trusted enabler, driving better preparedness, transparency, escalation, accountability, and decision quality across the Product Organization without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field.
Master’s degree and/or relevant professional certifications in risk management, enterprise risk, business continuity, supply chain, project or program management, or resilience are an advantage.
10+ years of relevant experience in risk management, resilience, strategy, transformation, product or program governance, supply chain, business continuity, operational excellence, enterprise risk or related fields.
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional work in a global matrix organization.
Strong ability to structure ambiguity, identify material risks, develop scenarios and translate them into practical options and decision recommendations.
Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and functional experts without relying only on direct authority.
Strong analytical capability and comfort working with data, assumptions, scenarios, dashboards and business-impact logic.
Ability to turn complex risk signals into clear executive narratives, options, triggers and decision asks.
Experience with supplier risk, procurement, supply chain, product development, manufacturing, technology, enterprise risk management, business continuity or operational resilience is valuable, but not a strict requirement.
Familiarity with methods such as Time to Recover, Time to Survive, business continuity planning, scenario modelling, risk quantification, the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations Enterprise Risk Management framework, International Organization for Standardization 31000, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
Demonstrated change-management skills, including the ability to establish new ways of working and build adoption across functions.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
