THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS AN ACCOUNTING CLERK
This is a full-time financial position working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
As our Accounting Clerk, you'll support the financial health of the organization by managing month-end reporting, processing capitation activities, maintaining accurate spreadsheets and payment records, monitoring accounts receivable, and identifying trends that require attention. You'll research billing discrepancies, communicate with members and insurance carriers regarding outstanding balances, prepare claims and follow-up correspondence, coordinate collection activities, support retroactive billing processes, and assist with departmental policies and procedures.
OUR IDEAL ACCOUNTING CLERK
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 6+ months of related experience
- Experience with billing, collections, and follow-up correspondence
- Knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
At least four years of related experience is preferred.
