Key Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer payments, payoffs, and exception transactions. • Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts in accordance with servicing guidelines. • Process complex transactions including reversals, NSF reimbursements, and loan modification cash adjustments. • Perform daily cash and system batch balancing; research and resolve payment clearing exceptions. • Collaborate with internal departments and senior leadership to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity. • Serve as a team lead when needed, mentoring and training team members to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures. • Assist the supervisor with workflow management and special projects. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Overtime may be required, including evenings and weekends. • This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred. • 4–10 years of experience in cash posting or cash handling within mortgage servicing or commercial banking. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. • Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented tasks under tight deadlines.
