Advanced Engineer

Come join our team! Mobius is seeking an Advanced Test Engineer. In this senior role, the ideal candidate will provide direct engineering support to the government’s Technical Director for Test, assisting with integration and execution of complex flight, ground, and cyber tests and the overall test program.

Duties of an Advanced Test Engineer may include: 

• Actively utilize your engineering techniques, taking a hands-on approach to multiple high-visibility projects.
• Deliver solutions to some of MDA’s toughest problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced solutions for our MDA customers.
• Provide technical expertise to address complex, unique issues for high-priority Department of War missions.
• Provide support to range safety and feasibility assessments, system integration and interface issues, and other technical assessments.
• Support engagements with external Department stakeholders during test planning, readiness, and execution which will require regularly occurring meetings and special engagements for individual tests and the overall test program

Qualification

• Able to leverage demonstrated DoW testing experience to make strategic recommendations on how MDA can better interface with other organizations to leverage their testing capabilities to support MDA test and assessment activities
• Effectively identify gaps with integration activities with test ranges / other stakeholders and develop technical recommendations/solutions to enable successful test execution
• Deliver innovative solutions to unique problems to quickly plan and execute tests in unique, novel environments and scenarios.
• Accomplished in leading and executing extensive test engineering support on systems, system elements, interfaces, components, devices and/or processes for complex weapon systems programs during developmental and operational test events, including flight, hardware-in-the-loop, and operational environments.
• Apply in-depth technical and theoretical DoD knowledge of developmental and operational testing; the verification and validation activities of the engineering “V”; and/or broad knowledge of the MDS, components, and system-level topics.
• Proficient at analyzing and integrating complex data, drawing reasonable and logical system-level conclusions, and developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums. 
•  Resourceful at establishing and optimizing priorities to support planning and readiness activities of MDS test events. 
• Apply process improvement and strategic planning skills
• Contribute to special studies to identify strategic investments or priorities for the MDA Test Program that enable future testing.
• Routinely solve significant, controversial technical matters. 
• Work independently or lead teams to solve test planning, integration, execution, and analysis/engineering problems.

Education Requirement

• Master of Science in engineering field with 10 years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelors of Science in engineering field with at least 15 years of experience

Clearance Requirement

• Active Top Secret / SCI-eligible
