Description
Leidos is in need of a software application developer to support a dynamic and exciting software development program. The position will part of a team of application developers supporting multiple projects, which include high profile visibility projects offering technical learning opportunities. These projects are all within the cloud and support multiple mission partners. The ideal candidate will have AWS experience developing for the cloud to include complete secure cloud integrations, optimizing cloud connectivity, and managed cloud services. This position is located in Northern Virginia and does not require travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
The ideal software developer will have the capacity to develop web applications using JAVA, JAVAScript, NodeJS, and/or Angular.
ServiceNow and Salesforce skills are desirable skill sets to support emerging technology.
The developer will work with the overall program team in the design and development of new applications as well as integrating new solutions on existing applications.
The candidate will be able to analyze and solve complex application development needs to identify solutions to include potential new tools/technologies.
A strong candidate will have commanding knowledge of Javascript software development principles and be energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills.
The candidate should be proficient in web application development to include troubleshooting and software upgrades.
Products and/or services reside in development, test and production AWS environments.
Experience working in a DevOps environment developing within an Agile environment using code delivery mechanisms, such as Maven, Ant, continuous build systems such as Jenkins, Nitro, Git, and code repositories such as Subversion.
In this role as a Lead Software Developer, you will mentor and guide the work on a small agile team.
We are looking for a strong Software Developer with focus, concentration, as well as patience and versatility to take part in all that is required to get the mission accomplished, to include development and O&M duties.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered.
Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of relatable experience OR Masters and at least 10 years of relatable experience OR 16 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with Cloud Providers: AWS
Experience with Languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, Python, SQL, PHP
Experience with Frameworks: Spring / Spring Boot, Angular
Experience with Other: Salesforce, Git, Linux, Rest API, Scrum
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cloud Providers: Azure
Experience with Languages: XML, JSON, YAML, SQL
Experience with Frameworks: ExtJS
Experience with Other: ServiceNow, AI/LL, GitHub, LDAP, Elastic Search-Logstash-Kibana (ELK), CloudFormation, Puppet, Jenkins, Rundeck, Nagios, Oracle, Containers, Jira, Confluence, Agile knowledge with the ability to manage workloads
