Description
Part-time Position
25 Hours Per Week
Do you have at least one (1) year of experience supervising and organizing sports activities? We encourage you to apply to be a part-time Sports Coordinator with Chatham County Parks and Recreation.
- Plan and organize activities for youth and adults at various recreation sites.
- Assist the assigned supervisor in managing the sports facilities and year-round sports program.
- Assign work schedules, process payroll information of employees, evaluate performance, and initiate budgets for the program.
- Attend games, keep score when necessary, compute scores, and determine seeding for playoffs.
- Schedule and post league games and practice sessions and revise playing rules and procedures as required.
- Open and close parks and recreation facilities, enforce park rules, and maintain statistics for attendance and participation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- At least one (1) year of experience in supervising and organizing recreation and athletic activities; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must have Sports, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
