What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Senior Sous Chef is responsible for the overall culinary leadership of Vicolo and Solfina, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, innovation, profitability, and team development. This role directs all kitchen operations while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality and culinary excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine.

· Supervise culinary team members and ensure recipe adherence.

· Lead daily line checks and quality inspections.

· Assist with labor scheduling and staffing plans.

· Train and develop cooks and supervisors.

· Ensure proper product handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

· Monitor production levels and kitchen efficiency.

· Support inventory, ordering, and receiving processes.

· Maintain luxury hospitality standards throughout service periods.

· Assist with menu implementation and special events.

What are we looking for?

· 3–5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience.

· Strong understanding of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

· Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to work in hot, cold, and humid kitchen environments.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
