The selected candidate will be part of the Command Systems - Systems Engineering Integration & Test (CS SEIT) MS&A Team. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You Will Get To Do:
The selected candidate will be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project.
Technical responsibilities may include:
•Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system.
•Leading a team of engineers supporting Command Segment SEIT MS&A Team.
•Support analytical requirement decomposition, development and traceability.
•Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
•Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance.
•Contribute content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Position Benefits
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with at least 8 years of related experience or Masters degree and 6 years related experience
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Minimum 1 year experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A)
• Experience with power systems (commercial, hardware, and/or industrial application)
• Experience with System Analysis using Siemens Capital, ETAP, MATLAB, and/or other analytical modeling tools
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Strong Understanding of Modeling Simulation and Analysis Principles
• Experience with Department of Defense and/or Missile Systems
• Experience with Systems Engineering including analytical requirement decomposition, verification, validation, and functional analysis
• Experienced with structural and/or electrical analysis principals
• Experience with Architecture, preferably how it relates to data and signals
• Minimum of 1 year of proven demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•Minimum 1 year experience leading a team and/or driving performance against schedule
• Experience with System Analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, STK and/or other analytical modeling tools
• Experience with Model Based System Engineering with DOORS or CAMEO and an understanding of DODAF and SysML
• Experience with Product Engineering Development and Life Cycles
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with Atlassian Products such as JIRA, Confluence, ext.
• Top Secret Clearance
• Currently or previously held SAP Access
• Experience in writing and presenting technical content
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
