Duties may include:
- Design, develop, and test a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
- Establish structural specifications, perform stress analysis, and conduct performance tests.
These roles may be filled at either the Principal Aeronautical Engineer OR Senior Principal Aeronautical Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Aeronautical Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of related engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Aeronautical Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline with 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline with 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active US Government Top Secret clearance
