  • Lead and Develop Teams: Lead and develop multiple teams of IT professionals across different specialties, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Manage Stakeholder and Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with key stakeholders and vendors, ensuring effective communication and successful partnerships.
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor team leads and managers on advanced techniques, helping them grow their technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Operations Excellence: Drive operational improvements across multiple IT teams, leverage data analytics to demonstrate effectiveness, and optimize resource allocation and budget management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Optimize Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Optimize resource allocation and budget management across multiple teams to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee Complex Projects: Oversee complex, large-scale projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Performance Management: Leverage the enterprise-wide performance management system to align team and individual goals with organizational objectives, mentor team leads in effective performance management practices, and ensure consistent application of performance standards across multiple teams.
  • Project Guidance: Guide multiple teams in implementing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet business requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure frequent and effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Strategic Alignment: Align IT initiatives with broader business goals and strategies, ensuring technology supports long-term business objectives.

  • Team Member Support and Empowerment: Actively support team members by identifying and creating opportunities for skill development, cross-functional exposure, and career advancement, ensuring their success and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Vendor Management: To ensure optimal service delivery, evaluate and manage relationships with IT operations vendors and service providers.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, which align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant and practical experience, preferably in IT management or a related role, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on or leadership familiarity with the technologies in this portfolio — Progress/OpenEdge, C, C++, COBOL, and DB2.
  • Experience with WMS/warehouse automation concepts: storage selection/put-away, directed picking, SBS/ASRS, conveyor & sortation, and RF operations.
  • Exposure to AIX-to-Linux migrations and consolidating fragmented application versions (e.g., standardizing a platform to a single supported release across sites).
  • Familiarity with Ignition/SCADA and partnering with an Automation COE on shared platforms, standards, and governance.
  • Experience in food, CPG, or other regulated manufacturing, including traceability, date/backdating controls, and USDA/FSQA requirements.
  • Familiarity applying AI/ML and modern data platforms (e.g., GCP) to manufacturing and inventory analytics, traceability, and enterprise reporting.
  • Understanding of capital planning and streamlined intake/prioritization processes across IT, Engineering, and Automation.
  • Manufacturing / plant systems: Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering plant-floor, warehouse, or manufacturing systems (e.g., WMS, MES, MFG, or inventory/traceability platforms) in a 24/7 production environment where downtime carries direct financial impact.
  • High-availability support: Proven ability to run a concierge-level support model — P1/incident response, on-call/support rotations, and graceful recovery — to minimize business disruption from IT or OT service interruptions.
  • IT/OT integration: Working knowledge of how enterprise systems integrate with plant-floor SCADA, PLC, and MES, and comfort partnering across the IT/OT boundary with Automation and Engineering.
  • Legacy modernization: Experience owning platform modernization — version upgrades, OS/infrastructure migrations, and multi-site standardization — while keeping business-critical systems stable.
  • Distributed team leadership: Experience leading geographically distributed teams (onsite and remote), setting clear expectations, and building SME depth on a newer team.

Special Skills

  • Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, guiding teams toward achieving goals while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, proactively addressing challenges and making sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Handle most operational issues autonomously, seeking upper management input primarily for strategic or high-impact decisions.
  • IT Project Management: Proficient in IT project management methodologies and tools, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical staff and team members, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels.
