Claims Internship Summer 2027 - Nashville, TN

In this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience and work with a mentor to learn all about the Claims role and network with leadership at social events.

With the claim’s internship, you will work with a mentor to learn what claims are and how they play a vital role in the company’s success, as well as how claims are handled. You will also get opportunities to network by attending diverse social events and meeting leadership in multiple areas.

What You’ll Do

Our Claims internship offers opportunities to:

• Gain hands-on insight into claims negotiations and settlement processes to help reach fair resolutions for customers.

• Stand by customers during stressful times, guiding them through the claims process with genuine care and understanding.

• Review policy details to accurately verify coverage and policy limits for current customers.

• Dive into the details of a loss by gathering facts and reviewing documentation to understand what happened.

• Maintain clear, thorough records of all investigations, communications, and steps taken throughout the claims process.

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, or a related field

• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00

• Expected graduation of May 2028

• Obtain required licensing as needed

• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
